Nakhchivan: A delegation from the National Defense University (NDU) of Trkiye, including senior staff, teachers, and participants of the "Staff Management Course" from the Air Force Academy and Naval Academy, visited Nakhchivan as part of their tour to Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the delegation began their visit by paying homage to National Leader Heydar Aliyev at his monument in Nakhchivan city's main square. They then proceeded to the Heydar Aliyev Museum, where they were briefed on his significant political contributions and the impactful period he spent in Nakhchivan.
In continuation of their visit, the delegation honored Mustafa Kemal Atatrk, the founder of the Republic of Trkiye, by visiting his monument in Nakhchivan. The Turkish delegates also toured the Combined Arms Army (CAA) Headquarters, where they received comprehensive information about its history, development, and future goals. A formal gesture of signing the Book of Honor was observed, adhering to protocol.
The delegation's itinerary included a meeting between the CAA Commander, Major General Kanan Seyidov, and the Rector of the National Defense University of Trkiye, Professor Erhan Afyoncu. Discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in military education and exploring future initiatives and mutual interests.
Further extending their visit, the delegation explored the Nakhchivan Military College and the Military Lyceum named after Heydar Aliyev. They were informed about the educational reforms and the current military education system. The comprehensive tour included academic buildings, dormitories, and other facilities, highlighting the social and living conditions provided for cadets.
The Turkish delegation's schedule also included a visit to the Turkey-Azerbaijan Friendship Park and various historical-cultural monuments. As part of their 'Observation Tour Abroad,' they visited territories in Azerbaijan that have been liberated from occupation, witnessing the ongoing reconstruction and restoration efforts firsthand.
