The duration of flights of Turkmen Airlines flights to India increased by 3 hours due to the fact that the planes are forced to fly around the airspace of Pakistan. This was reported in the official twitter of the airline.
The airline urges seniors and families with children to refrain from flying due to possible long delays in flights to Amritsar and New Delhi.
The airspace over Pakistan and the north-western regions of India was closed to civilian aircraft after February 27, Pakistani forces shot down two Indian fighters over their territory.
The conflict between the countries broke out on February 14, when militants of the Mohammed Army group attacked an Indian military convoy in Kashmir, killing 45 people. India responded with air strikes against the base group located in Pakistan.
