The Embassy of our country to Uzbekistan organized cycling race on June 1 on the threshold of the World Bicycle Day declared by the UN General Assembly by the initiative of Turkmenistan.
Personnel of the Embassy, Turkmen students studying in Uzbekistan universities, representatives of Turkmen diaspora and mass media took part in 5km cycling race along the main streets of Tashkent.
It was highlighted at the opening ceremony of sport event that adoption of the Resolution initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the World Bicycle Day at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, which was coauthored by 56 states, was the evidence of high international authority of Turkmenistan and its commitment to the principles of humanity and the sustainable development goals.
