An exhibition and display of a collection of Turkmen fashion designers dedicated to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan took place in the reception hall of UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
The dominant theme of the exposition was highly artistic carpet paintings, various accessories made in carpet technique, national jewelry and souvenirs, items of traditional Turkmen costume, samples of silk fabric of keteni and hand embroideries. Of particular interest was the demonstration of the collections of Turkmen fashion designers, who presented original evening dresses for women, created from flowing silk, exquisite panne velvet and decorated with original embroidery.
The book section of the exhibition presented the works of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as a variety of publishing products, including information booklets and photo albums telling about historical, cultural and natural sights, the modern look and achievements of Turkmenistan. The video film, which gives a detailed idea of large-scale transformations in all spheres of life of our state, has become a clear explanation of the theme of the event.
The action, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the French Republic, was attended by representatives of the Parliament, ministries and departments, the public of France, as well as the leadership and staff of UNESCO headquarters, representatives of international organizations, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Paris. The exhibition and fashion show were visited by representatives of the media and the Turkmen diaspora. The guests of the celebration were able to get acquainted with the gastronomic traditions of the Turkmen people and taste the best dishes of national cuisine.
