Turkmen folk ensemble successfully performed at the festival of dance in India

The folklore-ethnographic ensemble Dehistan from Turkmenistan successfully performed at the II International Dance Festival of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union in New Delhi.

This team from the Palace of Culture of Oilmen of the Turkmenneft State Concern conquered the public with the performance of the ancient Kushtdepdi folk dance.

The dance festival was also attended by groups from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Maldives, Uzbekistan, Fiji and others.

In 2017, the Turkmen national art of singing and dancing kushtdepdi was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Heritage of UNESCO.
