Once again, the Russian capital celebrated the international holiday Novruz. Novruz Bayram the traditional holiday of the spring of Iranian and Turkic peoples was included by UNESCO in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Today it has received a grandiose international scope and unites representatives of all countries of the world around the ideas of good neighborliness for the benefit of the prosperity of the whole world.
Since it is common for Novruz Bayram to visit each other and give presents, international festivals with the participation of foreign guests have become a popular form of celebration. Representatives of Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, India, Turkey, Macedonia, Albania, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, as well as those Russian regions where the parish of Novruz Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan and some other national territorial entities.
This year, a rich program awaited the guests of the capital Novruz: sports competitions on national wrestling, the pilaf festival, national courtyards with traditional dishes, a special playground, a gala concert with the participation of famous Russian pop stars and celebrities visiting
In terms of membership and the program, Novruz is a truly unique annual event in the cultural and social life of the capital. The organizer of the holiday is the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the city of Moscow. The event is supported by the national public organizations of the city, a number of plenipotentiary missions of the Russian regions and embassies of foreign countries celebrating Novruz.
With the active organizational support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation, bright Turkmen colors painted a variegated palette of Moscow Novruz. The Turkmen pavilion displayed unique samples of decorative and applied art, authentic costumes from traditional fabrics, jewelry and musical instruments.
The culmination of the holiday was a long gala concert Legends of Novruz. Representatives of Turkmen musical art performing folk and pop works performed on the same stage with artists from Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan and other countries. Popular Ashgabat musicians bakhshi Palvan Khamidov and singer Atajan Berdyev congratulated the guests of Moscow Novruz on the coming of spring.
