The State Migration Service of Turkmenistan hosted a solemn ceremony of presenting passports to persons admitted to Turkmen citizenship.

According to the decree signed the day before by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, 1,530 people, representatives of 26 nationalities, permanently residing in the country and having no other citizenship, became new citizens of the country. In addition, according to the decree of the head of state, residence permits in Turkmenistan were issued to 315 persons who are citizens of 9 states and representatives of 23 nationalities.

The speeches made during the passport presentation ceremony expressed deep gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the attention paid to solving the problems of stateless people and creating conditions for their prosperous life.
