During a meeting of the Security Council of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedovreprimanded the prosecutor general Batyr Atdayev and head of the migration service Mergen Gurdov .
Both officials were reprimanded with the wording "for the unsatisfactory performance of official duties, deficiencies in the work."
The President ordered the Prosecutor General Atdaev to strengthen control over the implementation of the provisions of the current legal acts by all institutions, regardless of their form of ownership. Employees of this body should take a responsible approach to the consideration of each case, said the head of state.
The head of the Migration Service, Gurdov, reported to the president that in 2019 the number of foreign visitors who had entered the country increased significantly. Despite this, the head of state reprimanded the official and ordered that conditions be created for foreign citizens to pass all migration procedures that comply with international standards.
