Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will travel to Iran on June 14

On June 14, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will arrive in Iran for a two-day official visit, Iranian news agency IRNA reported .

During the visit, Berdimuhamedov will meet with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi at the Saadbad Palace in Tehran .

According to Mehr news agency, Iranian government spokesman Bahadori Jahromi said that Iran's exports of products to the neighboring country have increased by 89% under the administration of Raisi (elected president on August 3, 2021) and that the government is trying to find additional, less used previously sales markets.

Jahromi also said that after the visit of Berdimuhamedov Jr. next week, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is expected in Tehran .

The ISNA publication clarifies that President Raisi invited the head of Turkmenistan to visit Iran.

In January of this year, Serdar Berdimuhamedov already traveled to Iran, where he was received by Raisi. At that time, Berdymukhamedov Jr. served as Deputy Prime Minister of the government. During the trip, the Turkmen delegation held a number of meetings where issues of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, fuel and energy, industry, transport and communications, in particular, in the field of expanding international and regional road and rail transportation were discussed.

On June 10, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid an official visit to Moscow at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin . As a result of the talks , the Declaration on deepening the strategic partnership between the countries and a number of other documents were signed.
