Another lap of the World Auto Sport Cup in rally raid discipline, where our sportsmen won the bronze, completed in the Republic of Karelia, Russian Federation. The success was achieved by Turkmen sportsmen in the races on the vehicles with 2.1 and 2.2 litres engines.
12 teams from France, Finland, Tunisia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and other took part in the competition. The races named Russia � North Forest 2017 are the only snow races in the world which distinguished from classic rally raids by circled track allowing to minimize the transfer of the teams (technical personnel) between the sections of the track.
Shamyrat Gurbanov and Gurbanberdy Danatarov, the experienced masters who participated in number of international tournaments were in Turkmen team. Our racers drove Nissan Patrol vehicles. The sportsmen lost with minimum time to the hosts of the competitions who took the gold and united Saudi Arabia and France team that took second the place.
