At the recent Silk Way 2022 rally-raid, Turkmen racers successfully performed, winning prizes in the T2 sports category (serial off-road vehicles). These are crews led by pilots Merdan Toylyev, Shamyrad Gurbanov and Maksatmyrad Danatarov.
80 crews from 20 countries of the world, including four from Turkmenistan, took part in the last Silk Way 2022 rally-raid. Recall that the first rally-raid "Silk Way" was held in 2009 on the initiative of Turkmenistan. Then the pilots from 25 countries of the world started in Kazan, drove through the territory of Tatarstan and the Orenburg region to Kazakhstan and finished in the Balkan velayat (region) of Turkmenistan.
