Turkmen scientists invent a cheaper alternative to ruberoid

Since the beginning of this year, Turkmen chemical scientists have already received six patents for inventions and innovation proposals issued by the State Intellectual Property Service of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, reported on March 5, "Turkmenistan: the golden age."

The publication informs about their latest invention. So, the specialists of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences have developed a formulation of bitumen emulsion mastic for waterproofing floors of buildings and structures under construction. This building material allows for quick and highquality sealing of the surface and serves as an alternative to more expensive roofing material and isogam.

Recall that in late January, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov announced that within three years, funding for the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan (ANT) from the state budget will be discontinued.

Later it turned out that scientific research institutes will earn money by solving production problems, and research will be focused on applied applications in industry, agriculture and the economy.

In 2018, the president twice, in February and May, gave instructions to provide construction companies with materials of their own production.

In January of this year, it became known that a mineral was found in the country that will allow producing its own building materials in Turkmenistan.
