The Dashoguz and Lebap velayats are focused on harvesting rice, while the Mary velayat is gathering sugar beets. President Berdimuhamedov emphasized t he importance of ensuring a stable supply of food and raw materials for industrial enterprises. He congratulated the cotton growers of the Balkan velayat for meeting their state production targets and urged continued commitment to quality in the construction of social and industrial projects planned for opening this year. In a recent Cabinet of Ministers meeting, key issues concerning the nation's social and economic development were discussed, including legislative improvements, the preparation of the draft state budget for 2025, and the modernization of various economic sectors. The draft budget emphasizes macroeconomic stability and the modernization of manufacturing, with plans to invest 40.1 billion manats across different sectors. The government is also preparing for the second Turkmen-Uzbek inter-regional forum and a national exhibition of Uzbek goods, scheduled for later this month in Turkmenabat, Lebap velayat. Additionally, the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technological University will host an intern ational conference focused on smart city technologies and digital advancements. Cultural initiatives are also a priority, with the recent International Film Festival "Gorkut Ata" in Ashgabat celebrating the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. The festival featured contributions from filmmakers across several countries and highlighted Turkmenistan's rich cultural heritage. Technological advancement is being propelled by the TurkmenTel 2024 exhibition and conference, which gathered international participants to discuss the modernization of Turkmenistan's telecommunication systems.
