The development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation was discussed by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Culture and Islamic Orientation of Iran Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili, who arrived in Ashgabat to hold the Days of Iranian Culture.

During the meeting, issues of further development of cooperation in the field of culture, science, media, cinematography and publishing were considered.

Particular attention was paid to holding joint events as part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Mahmukulli Fragi, establishing direct regular cultural contacts between the relevant departments of the two countries and strengthening the legal framework in the field of culture.

In this regard, the parties noted the expediency of preparing a roadmap for the practical development of cooperation in the cultural and scientific sphere.
