Turkmenistan and UNDP implement a state administration improvement project

The Academy of State Administration under the President of Turkmenistan has hosted a working meeting as part of the joint project with the United Nations Development Program. The meeting, attended by United Nations Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Mrs. Elena Panova, focused on prospects of partnership in strengthening the state administration system, training state officials and employing innovative methods in the national curriculum.

Meeting participants discussed the upcoming events to be held as part of the project, such as a series of lectures on a legal and institutional framework of state administration at the international and national level, international legislation and anti-corruption instruments.

Teaching staff and students of the Academy, as well as representatives of some ministries and agencies concerned will go on a business trip abroad to study the international practice in advanced training of administrative personnel, effective use of economic mechanisms, and others.

Organization of round-table meetings and seminars with interactive forms of teaching with the participation of international experts in electronic document management, strategic management and planning, as well as assessment of the people's needs in social services will contribute to learning efficiency of the Academy's students.
