On June 24, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrakhmanov , in charge of the oil and gas sector, told President Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the transfer of a contract for the provision of specialized services to increase the productivity of wells of the state concern "Turkmennebit" ("Turkmenneft") to the International Oil Service Company under the China Petrochemical Corporation ( Sinopec ). The head of state approved the deal, noting the importance of widely attracting best practices to the industry to increase oil production.
On June 20, Serdar Berdimuhamedov , and then Shahym Abdrakhmanov , met with one of the leaders of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The parties discussed the work of CNPC at the Bagtyýarlyk and Galkynys fields, the construction of the fourth branch of the gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to China. Abdrakhmanov announced Turkmenistan's intention to continue cooperation with China.
Then Abdrakhmanov announced plans for joint work with Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd. on the accelerated development of the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea, in particular, in the Cheleken contract area on the basis of the Production Sharing Agreement.
Separately, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the terms of the contract to be signed between this company and the Türkmennebit concern. These conditions, however, TDH did not disclose.
Berdimuhamedov agreed to the proposal.
