Turkmenistan called on interested states and international organizations to develop a dialogue with the new authorities of Afghanistan. This was stated by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Khadzhiev, speaking at the international conference "Afghanistan: security and economic development", held in Tashkent.
The forum was attended by delegations from Central Asian countries, Russia, the United States, Iran, Pakistan, India, Belgium, the interim government of Afghanistan, representatives of a number of international and regional organizations, including the UN, EU, OIC, SCO, as well as leaders and experts of leading think tanks.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in his speech noted that Ashgabat is interested in the restoration of Afghanistan and its integration into world economic relations. According to the Turkmen representative, these factors will have a positive impact on ensuring security and stability both in the country and in the region as a whole.
Khadzhiev emphasized that Turkmenistan calls on all interested states and international organizations to develop a dialogue with the new Afghan authorities. The Deputy Head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry stressed the relevance of developing cooperation with Afghan companies, continuing the implementation of international economic projects that have been launched and providing regular humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people in order to prevent the threat of a humanitarian crisis.
