In Ashgabat, in honor of World Environment Day, a scientific and practical conference was held on the policy of Turkmenistan in the field of ecology.

The forum, which was held in a hybrid format, was attended by heads and specialists of environmental structures and sectoral departments of Turkmenistan, representatives of the parliament, universities, public associations of the country, as well as international and regional organizations.

Speakers at the conference noted that Turkmenistan is carrying out multifaceted work to ensure environmental well-being, rational use of natural resources and preserve the biodiversity of the country's flora and fauna. In particular, the forum emphasized that all measures taken by the state to ensure dynamic economic growth are closely linked to issues of environmental well-being.

Thematic sessions of the conference were also held at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S. A. Niyazov in Ashgabat and at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz. During the discussions, issues of carrying out greening campaigns in the country, as well as the activities of nature reserves and nature protection zones were considered.

Events dedicated to the World Environment Day were held in all regions of Turkmenistan.
