Turkmenistan discusses agreement on cooperation in search and rescue operations in the Caspian Sea

From March 11 to March 13, the first meeting of authorized representatives of the Caspian states is held in Ashgabat to agree on the text of the draft Agreement between the Governments of the Caspian states on cooperation in conducting search and rescue operations in the Caspian Sea.

The event takes place at the Foreign Ministry of the country. The participants were experts from Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan, reports "Turkmenistan: the golden age."

It is noted that the draft agreement was prepared by the Turkmen side and sent to the relevant organizations of the countries that have now arrived to discuss it.

Note that in August 2018, the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea was signed , according to which the Caspian countries were able to lay pipelines subject to their compliance with environmental requirements and standards, including the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea and the corresponding protocols .
