Turkmenistan does not leave hopes to build the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline

“The Trans-Caspian project is not removed from the agenda today. This project through Azerbaijan, Georgia and further to the Eastern European countries,” said Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrakhmanov , who is in charge of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan , speaking at the ADIPEC conference.

He also noted that the issue of gas supplies to Europe today is one of the most urgent for Turkmenistan. This is reported by the publication “Prime”.

According to Abdrakhmanov, Turkmenistan supplies gas through pipelines to Russia, China and Iran.

“The implementation of TAPI will relieve the burden on the Asian markets, the released volumes can be redirected to the European market,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

The 26th International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference ADIPEC takes place from October 31 to November 3 in Abu Dhabi (UAE).

Recall that in September, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced his readiness to support the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline project if the Turkmen authorities decide to implement it. However, Azerbaijan will not be the initiator of the construction.
