Turkmenistan has renovated the House of Health, built by the government in the Garamgol district of the Afghan province of Faryab in 2009, and also donated medical equipment and medicines to the Afghan side as humanitarian aid. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
On November 26, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif organized a solemn official event on this occasion. The ceremony was attended by the head of the Afghan Foreign Ministry office in Balkh province, the governors of Garamgol, Gorgan, Andkhoy and Khancharbag districts of Faryab province, heads of healthcare institutions, residents and respected elders.
In addition, Turkmen textbooks for grades 1-4 were handed over to the head of the department of education of the Garamgol region, Mahmud, to be used as a manual in the lessons of the Turkmen language in the schools of the region.
