Turkmenistan highlights climate innovation at CAREC think tank forum

ASHGABAT: A delegation from Turkmenistan, including members from the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, has showcased the nation's climate adaptation efforts at the 8th CAREC Think Tank Development Forum (CTTDF) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Trend reports via the official media source. The 'Climate Challenge: Thinking Beyond Borders for Collective Action' forum drew over 120 representatives from regional think tanks, Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) member countries, universities, development organizations, and media. The forum aimed to tackle the burning climate challenges through regional collaboration, emphasizing the need for all hands on deck and the sharing of pearls of wisdom and silver bullets. Discussions revolved around hitting the nail on the head with successful climate adaptation strategies, putting all hands on deck to involve governments, local communities, and civil society in crafting climate policies that really hit the mark. Turkmenistan's 'Innovation and Adaptation to Climate Change in Turkmenistan' presentation really hit the nail on the head, showcasing the country's out-of-the-box thinking and game-changing proposals for tackling climate issues. The delegation had a heart to heart about the role of technology in tackling climate change, emphasizing the game-changing potential of cutting-edge advancements and the importance of a nurturing regional environment for climate solutions. The event featured a range of activities, including presentations, panel discussions, case studies, and interactive sessions designed to foster dialogue and develop actionable strategies for enhancing climate resilience in the CAREC region. The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program, kicked off in 2001, brings together 11 countries and development partners to join forces and boost regional development through collaboration. Guided by the vision of 'Good Neighbors, Good Partners, and Good Prospects,' CAREC has mobilized $51.02 billion in investments to build transportation networks, improve energy security, and facilitate the movement of people and goods.
