Turkmenistan imposes electricity over the Internet

Deputy Prime Minister Dadebay Amangeldievreported to the President on the ongoing work on the transition to a digital system of services and settlements with electricity consumers.

According to the state information agency TDH , a Settlement Center has been created at the Gosenergonadzor enterprise in Ashgabat, equipped with modern equipment and software. Here is an electronic database of consumers in the capital, including addresses, the amount of electricity used, payment terms, etc.

The publication reports that it has become possible to make payments through cell phones, payment terminals, and Internet-based systems.

Similar centers are expected to open in all velayats before the end of this year.

Recall that from November 1, 2017, new tariffs for utilities were introduced in the country . Since then, commissions from the city khyakimlik (mayor's office), house authorities, water and gas supply services and the police in Ashgabat have been checking apartments for gas and water meters .

However, while the system of calculation and payment of utilities leaves much to be desired. For example, despite the lack of batteries in individual houses in Ashgabat, their residents are sent bills for heating.
