President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree "On the issues of preparing national teams of Turkmenistan for the XXXII Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in 2020 in the city of Tokyo (Japan)."
The document allows the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan to conduct training camps for the preparation of national teams of Turkmenistan in the Olympic town of Ashgabat. The Ministry has been instructed to create specialized sports bases from March 1, 2020 for conducting training sessions of these teams: a long-term one in the capital's Olympic city and a seasonal one in the Avaza sports complex on the Caspian Sea coast.
The Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan has been instructed to provide athletes of the national teams of Turkmenistan with sports nutrition and special food additives on the basis of applications from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy.
The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan is charged with exercising control over the quality and safety of sports nutrition and special food additives, ensuring their state registration and certification, as well as providing athletes with necessary medical and medical supplies.
Also, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan will provide medical care for athletes, attract foreign specialists for this and send Turkmen doctors to foreign countries to exchange experience.
