The Agency "Turkmenistan Railways" has purchased five Russian-made mainline freight locomotives to increase the volume of cargo transportation.
These traction machines were developed by the specialists of the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (JSC Transmashholding) for operation in difficult climatic conditions on sections with a complex track profile. The diesel locomotives will replenish the fleet of locomotives of the Turkmen state company Railways OJSC, which provides freight and passenger transportation.
The delivery of the machines was carried out in accordance with the contracts concluded in October and November 2020 between JSC Railways and the Russian JSC Transmashholding. Recall that in October 2021, a passenger diesel locomotive TEP70BS and a main freight diesel locomotive 2TE25KM arrived in Turkmenistan from Russia.
