Turkmenistan has sent the first shipment of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan since the Taliban came to power in the country.

For the needs of the neighboring country, medicines, protective clothing for medical personnel, medical supplies, disinfectants, medicinal solutions, drugs for the treatment of coronavirus infection were sent.

The ceremony of handing over the humanitarian cargo to the Afghan side took place in the village of Turgundi in the Herat province with the participation of the leaders of the province, as well as members of the Turkmen diaspora. Afghan representatives expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of Turkmenistan for the constant support of the Afghan people.
