Turkmenistan sets minimum wage for 2022

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to increase salaries, scholarships, pensions and social benefits by 10% from January 1, 2022.

Thus, the minimum wage next year will be equal to 1,050 manats. In terms of US dollars - $ 300 at the state rate and $ 40 at the current rate of the "black market".

In October 2020, the minimum wage for 2021 was set at 957 manats. At that time, it was $ 273.4 at the state rate or $ 41 at the "black market" rate for October of that year.

The minimum pension in 2022 will be 410 manats ($ 117 / $ 16), the minimum pension for participants in the Great Patriotic War will be 1,710 manats ($ 489 / $ 66), for spouses of WWII participants and home front workers - 500 manats ($ 143 / $ 19).

The basic amount of benefits is set at 390 manats ($ 111 / $ 15).
