Turkmenistan supplied electricity to Kyrgyzstan for $ 6.1 million

At the moment, Kyrgyzstan has received 305.8 million kWh of electricity from Turkmenistan from the general plan in the amount of 501.9 million kWh, which the Kyrgyz side should receive from August to December. The official did not disclose the cost of imported electricity, referring to the fact that it is a commercial secret.

However, in September its cost was calculated by energy expert Rasul Umbetaliev . According to him, according to the signed August 11 agreement , from August to December, Turkmenistan will supply to Kyrgyzstan 501.9 million kWh costs 2.05 som / kWh or $ 0.02422. The Turkmen side sells energy at $ 0.02 per kWh, and the remaining $ 0.00422 is a transit fee to Uzbekistan.

Thus, at the moment, Turkmenistan supplied Kyrgyzstan with electricity for $ 6.116 million, and the total amount for the volume stipulated in the contract (from August to December) will amount to $ 10 million 38 thousand.

Talaybek Baigaziev also said that currently Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan also supply electricity to Kyrgyzstan. However, in the near future, Kazakhstan may suspend supplies due to the fact that there is a shortage of electricity in the country.
