Today, the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture in the capital signed the Agreements on the establishment of UNESCO Chairs "Cultural Heritage: From the Past to the Future" at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and "Environmental Education for Sustainable Development" at the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute. there was a signing ceremony.
The event was held in the conference hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and was attended by UNESCO Deputy Director General Stefania Giannini, responsible secretary of Turkmenistan's National Committee on UNESCO Affairs, heads of relevant ministries and higher education institutions.

Issues related to the creation of UNESCO chairs at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute will be discussed at the meeting of the National Committee on UNESCO Affairs on January 29, 2022 and April 23, 2023. It was discussed at the meeting held on February 6. Draft agreements on the creation of UNESCO chairs were prepared with the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Education of Turkmenistan, the responsible secretary of Turkmenistan's national committee on UNESCO affairs, and representatives of higher education institutions. These projects were then presented to the organization's headquarters in Paris, France.
Electronic copies of the documents signed by UNESCO Secretary General Audrey Azule have been delivered to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. According to the order signed by the President of Turkmenistan, today the rector of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and the rector of the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi signed the original copies of the Agreements. This was a clear expression of the creation of all conditions for the development of effective cooperation with major international organizations during the Revival of the new epoch of the Stable State under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

According to the approved work plans, training sessions, scientific consultations, competitions and exhibitions are organized.
