Turkmenistan’s GDP growth for 7 months of 2022 exceeded 6 percent

The growth of the gross domestic product of Turkmenistan for seven months of 2022 amounted to 6.1 percent. This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at an off-site meeting of the government of Turkmenistan in the city of Turkmenbashi, dedicated to the results of the country's socio-economic development over the seven months of this year.

Summing up the results of the work of the sectors of the national economy, the head of state noted with satisfaction that the growth of the country's GDP over the reporting period exceeded 6 percent. At the meeting of the government, it was noted that the volume of the country's foreign trade for 7 months of the year increased by 39 percent. In addition, it was reported that the plan for oil production was fulfilled by 100.7 percent, oil refining - by 110.2 percent, gasoline production - by 117.4 percent, diesel fuel production - by 112.2 percent, polypropylene production - by 125 percent. .6 percent, production of liquefied gas - by 115 percent, extraction of natural and associated gas - by 113.4 percent and export of natural gas by 123.6 percent.
