Turkmenistan’s Interior Minister Isgender Mulikov fired

During a meeting of the Security Council based on the results of the work of law enforcement agencies over 9 months of this year, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dismissed Interior Minister Isgender Mulikov . This was announced in the "Watan" information program of the Turkmen state television.

Mulikov served as head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 10 years from May 2009. During his work, he received a total of 12 reprimands from the head of state, the last three in 2018 and 2019 - with the last warning .

The department will be headed by Mammetkhan Chakyev , who previously held the post of deputy prime minister in charge of transport, communications and industry.
