Two earthquakes occurred in Turkmenistan in a day: in the Caspian Sea and in Akhal velayat

On July 19, two earthquakes occurred in Turkmenistan, reports the Volcano Discovery website

One of them is in the Caspian Sea, 150 km northwest of the city of Turkmenbashi. Aftershocks of magnitude 4.3 were recorded at 16:26 local time. The epicenter lay at a depth of 11 km.

Second , with a magnitude of 4.5, was in the eastern part of the Akhal velayat, 50 km from the city of Tejen at 18:00 local time. The earthquake was shallow, the focus was at a depth of 10 km.

The relevant services of Turkmenistan and local media do not report on ongoing natural disasters.
