In 2009, HaboutWruz was included on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and in 2010, members of the General Assembly declared it an international day . Unity with nature and its preservation, peace, help for the weak and needy - the ideals of the United Nations and Novruz largely coincide.
Therefore, every year on this day at the UN headquarters you can hear the many voices of this ancient holiday. This year, Novruz was celebrated with generous treats - the festival of multinational cuisine. The Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN also contributed, preparing traditional pilaf, manty and of course sweets and flatbread.
