The significance of TAPI and other infrastructure projects is reflected in the Resolution extending the mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan that was adopted in March at the meeting of the UN Security Council. As is known, the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline was inaugurated in December 2015. The laying of the Afghanistan section of the pipeline and the fiber-optic line along the TurkmenistanAfghanistanPakistan (TAP) route was launched in February of the current year. The SerhetabatTorghundi railway was also commissioned then.
