The UNESCO Club "Ahal-Teke Horses - Ambassadors of the World" opened on September 1 at the Aba Annayev International Horse Breeding Academy, which began its history on this day with a solemn ceremony of commissioning the horses with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The creation of the UNESCO club at the first international academy in the region, which trains highly qualified specialists for horse breeding and equestrian sports, is a logical continuation of the interaction of Turkmenistan with the UN specialized structure for education, science and culture. In addition, Turkmenistan submitted the national nomination 'Akhal-Teke horse breeding and traditions of decorating horses' for inclusion in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The UNESCO Club, which was visited on the first day of autumn by the heads of the UN and its agencies in Turkmenistan, will also draw the attention of the world community to the Aba Annaev Horse Breeding Academy itself, which is an innovative educational institution of its kind. Its structure includes the faculties of horse breeding, veterinary medicine, equestrian sports, tourism and national equestrian games, and agricultural economics. At the disposal of students and teachers - laboratories of molecular genetics, microbiology, immunology, anatomy, physiology, histology, etc. In addition to the training building, its infrastructure includes a circus for equestrian performances with training rooms, including with the help of special simulators, as well as a well-equipped stable, an open arena, etc. Comfortable living conditions are provided for students and teachers, there are two canteens, a hostel for 500 people and other necessary components of a full-fledged organization of living space. Horses have historically rendered a great service to man, helping him to conquer new lands, fight for life and freedom, work and exist, today their noble mission has been transferred to another plane -to help people find a common language with each other and with nature, pay tribute to it and draw from it and the history of civilization the strength of the rational, kind, eternal.
