UNICEF donates $413,000 worth of medicines to the Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan

The country office of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) donated more than $413,000 worth of dexamethasone preparations to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan for distribution to the country’s hospitals. This was reported on March 16 by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The UNICEF-funded shipment included 4.4 tons of tablets and ampoules as part of the National Plan for Preparedness to Combat and Response to Acute Infectious Disease.

“Since the start of the global pandemic, UNICEF has been supporting the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, and this delivery of dexamethasone, a drug that has been tested and proven effective for the health of patients with respiratory diseases, demonstrates our close partnership in ensuring a healthy lifestyle for every child.” , – said Alexander Nartea , Deputy Representative of UNICEF in Turkmenistan .
