In the framework of economic reforms initiated in Turkmenistan, the private sector, entrepreneurs and industrialists play an increasingly important role. This is seen in the results of the first two months of 2017.
The members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan produced industrial goods worth 80 million manats, while the output increased by 38.9 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year. They also produced agricultural and food products worth 120 million manats, with an increase of 38.1 per cent.
Construction works worth 261.6 million manats were completed, reflecting the increase of 2 per cent. The trade turnover totaled over 1.8 billion manats and the increase equaled to 5.6 per cent. Works worth 158.6 million manats were completed in the services sector where the increase amounted to 6.2 per cent.
