Uzbekistan launches pre-term voting for parliamentary election

TASHKENT: The early voting for the parliamentary election has started today in Uzbekistan, Trend reports. According to the information, early voting is held for those electors who will not be able to vote on the day of the main election. Voting will last until October 23. The voting will take place at polling stations from 9:00 to 18:00 local time (GMT+5) on weekdays and from 11:00 to 17:00 on weekends. At foreign polling stations established at diplomatic and other representations of Uzbekistan, voting will also be held from 9:00 to 18:00 local time in the country where the polling station is located. Election of deputies to regional, city, and district councils and members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of Uzbekistan will be held on October 27. The Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the Democratic Party of National Revival, the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, and the Adolat Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan are running in the election.
