TASHKENT: Uzbekistan exported gold worth $4.9 billion from January through August 2024.

The data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that this figure has decreased by 14.2 percent compared to the same period last year ($5.6 billion in January-August 2023).

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s gold and foreign exchange reserves totaled $39.1 billion in August 2024. This indicator has decreased by 4.5 percent over the month ($37.4 billion in July 2024).

Gold holds the nation’s majority of reserves, totaling $30.3 billion. Gold reserves increased by 4.1 percent compared to the previous month ($29.1 billion in July 2024).

Furthermore, Uzbekistan exported gold worth $4.1 billion from January through June 2024. This figure has decreased by 4.6 percent compared to the same period last year ($4.3 billion in January-June 2023).
