• Today, about 30 thousand students from Turkmenistan study in Russia;
• “Russia and Turkmenistan have similar positions on the international agenda. We are grateful for the UN support for Russian initiatives, including those aimed at countering the glorification of Nazism and the falsification of the history of World War II.”
Turkmenistan traditionally does not participate in voting on UN resolutions.
In March 2022, representatives of Turkmenistan did not vote on the resolution "Aggression against Ukraine", in April - on the exclusion of Russia from the UN Human Rights Council, in October - on a resolution condemning illegal referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
