WH: Biden, Kristersson to discuss Sweden’s NATO bid

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre revealed on Saturday in a statement that United States President Joe Biden is "looking forward" to hosting Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Washington on July 5, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The meeting is aimed at further boosting the relations between the two countries, she stressed. "President Biden and Prime Minister Kristersson will review our growing security cooperation and reaffirm their view that Sweden should join NATO as soon as possible," she added.

Jean-Pierre said that the war in Ukraine, alongside the question of China and climate change, will also be discussed between Biden and Kristersson.
