WHO in Turkmenistan conducted a training on informing the population about vaccination against COVID-19

On September 9-10, the WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan conducted a two-day online training course on communication skills and effective public awareness during COVID-19 vaccination. This is reported on the organization's Instagram page .

On the first day, training on crisis communication was held for medical workers, representatives of the SES and employees of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.

On the second day, consultants from the WHO Regional Office for Europe held a briefing with journalists from the media of Turkmenistan on providing the public with accurate and up-to-date information on vaccination and immunization.

In August, the WHO Country Office held a workshop on collecting epidemiological data on influenza, acute respiratory infections (ARVI) and COVID-19 in the country.

In mid-August, WHO donated new laboratory equipment to Turkmenistan for testing for COVID-19 - coronavirus detection kits and two Rotor-Gene devices.

On 22 April, the WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan donated 10,000 PCR laboratory tests to the Virology Laboratory of the Center for Public Health and Nutrition.

In early April, representatives of the WHO country office in Turkmenistan conducted trainings for health workers on the treatment of COVID-19.
