The awarding ceremony took place in the conference hall of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. Six female scientists, working in the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, became the winners of the contest. The heads of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, scientists and representatives of public organisations were invited to the ceremony as the guests of honour.
The national science unites thousands of highly-educated women, who increase the achievements and the international authority of the country. The initiative of the Women's Union to establish the Club of female scientists and hold the contest promotes their contribution into the innovative and production potential of the country.
Women, whose works are remarkable for actuality and novelty, took part in the contest. Over 30 applications were submitted to the jury, who selected six finalists.
Nurgozel Byashimova, senior research scientist at the Institute of History, devoted her life to the study of archaeological monuments of Turkmenistan. Senior research scientist of the Solar Energy Institute Valentina Sarkisova makes research in the sphere of nanomaterials, Jeren Ashirmuhammedova from the Centre of Technologies of the Academy of Sciences is working in the field of information technology. Under the leadership of Jeren Silapova, the Laboratory of the Centre of Technologies is engaged in the development and improvement of materials. Today, this is an important direction that determines the development of industries, construction, medicine and services. Ayna Atayeva is engaged in the development of biotechnology in the pharmaceutical industry at the Centre of Technologies of the Academy of Sciences.
Nurgozel Byashimova won the first place. All finalists were awarded with the valuable gifts.
The contest organizers - the Women's Union and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan � believe that the contest encourages the research talent and purposefulness of young female scientists. In the future, it is planned to invite the specialists of higher educational institutions research institutes to participate in the contest.
