On February 27, 2024, another rally was held in Noumea, the capital of New Caledonia in front of a court in protest of the colonialism policy of France, APA reports. The protesters demanded the activists detained by the French leadership to be released. Recall that on February 21, 2024, a rally was held in New Caledonia during France's Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin and minister for overseas Marie Guévenoux's visit. During said protest, several activists fighting for the independence of New Caledonia were arrested by the Frenck police. During the rally held on February 27, a statement titled "Freedom for Political Prisoners" was released. The statement noted that France does not respect the international law and is not a country of human rights, and demanded all the arrested political prisoners to be set free. As always, the Azerbaijan flag was also raised during this rally as a sign of respect for the country. Source: Azeri-Press news agency
