Russia’s Shoigu had telephone conversation with Iranian Gen. Bagheri

Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu held a telephone conversation with Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Wednesday, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

During the telephone conversation, bilateral military and military-technical cooperation, regional security and the international situation were discussed.

"Today, Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Major General Mohammad Bagiri had a telephone conversation. Current issues of bilateral relations, military and military-technical cooperation, regional security and the international situation were discussed. The parties have confirmed their intention to deepen the dialogue and develop contacts in the field of defense," the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
