President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov will take part in the UN General Assembly events in New York.
According to the head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Muratbek Azymbakiev, he will make a working visit to the United States to participate in the events of the high-level week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
«On September 18, the head of state will take part in the dialogue of the leaders of the summit on the Sustainable Development Goals. On September 19, just like last year, Sadyr Japarov will make speech on the first day of the General Debate of the UN General Assembly. On the same day, the President is expected to participate in the first summit of the heads of Central Asian states and the leader of the United States of America Joe Biden. In addition, on the margins of the UN General Assembly, the head of state will meet with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, UN Development Programme Administrator Achim Steiner, heads of a number of foreign countries and international financial institutions. On September 21, Sadyr Japarov will speak at the Kyrgyz-American Business Forum with participation of representatives of a number of major U.S. companies, during which a presentation on the economic potential of Kyrgyzstan and investment opportunities of the country will be organized,» he said.
