Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Arzybek Kozhoshev made a speech at the session «Transport Logistics in Eurasia», held as part of the Eurasian Congress in Sochi. Representative office of Kyrgyzstan in the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) reported.

«Infrastructure projects that are being implemented at the national level play an equally important role in the Union. For example, China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway construction project, the implementation of which will shorten the existing corridor by more than 900 kilometers and increase trade between these countries, will allow building new logistics links, reducing the time of delivery of goods not only to the states of the route itself, but also to other regions,» he said.

The session participants touched upon the issues of digitalization in the transport sector. Arzybek Kozhoshev presented key achievements in this direction and told about the current digital initiatives of the EAEU, such as the use of navigation seals, digitalization of freight rail transportation, development of electronic document management at maritime checkpoints, and the formation of an ecosystem of digital transport corridors.
