AZN 291.200 has been allocated to the Ministry of Youth and Sports from the reserve fund of the President of Azerbaijan in the 2023 state budget of Azerbaijan. This allocation is intended for awarding athletes who achieved high results in the XXXI World Summer Universiade, held in Chengdu, China, and the European Youth Olympic Festival, held in Maribor, Slovenia. Additionally, funds will be distributed to the coaches of those athletes and other experts who have contributed to the athletes' preparation, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev signed a decree in this regard, APA reports.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports must prepare and approve regulations within a 15-day period regarding the allocation and disbursement of funds earmarked for the recognition and reward of athletes, their coaches, and other experts who have participated in the preparation process, taking into account the level of competition and the highest results achieved by athletes. The Ministry of Finance should ensure the financing in the amount specified in the decree.
