The European Union called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to conclude the peace process by the end of the year, which was stated in the final document adopted after the two-day meeting of the EU Council, APA reports.
“The Council of the European Union shows its continuous support for the achievement of stable and sustainable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan within the principles of recognition of sovereignty, inviolability of borders and territorial integrity. EU Brussels supports the process of normalization and calls on the parties for goodwill act and to conclude this process by the end of the year,” was said in the document.
Also, the importance of ensuring the rights and security of the Armenian-origin people of Garabagh was emphasized in the document.
