Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave sadaka at the site of the construction of a mosque in the new administrative center of Akhal velayat. This was reported on October 7 by the state news agency TDH .
Sadaka is given at the expense of royalties for the ” wonderful books ” written by the ex-president, the newspaper notes.
After the mufti of Turkmenistan read a prayer, people were served dishes of national cuisine.
“After tasting them, the audience prayed to Allah for a worthy continuation by the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov , of the work begun by the Hero-Arkadag in the name of the bright future of the country, the unity and solidarity of the people,” TDH writes.
A day earlier, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the new capital of Akhal and chose a site for the construction of a mosque for 5.5 thousand people. At the same time, he said that every year on October 6, the Day of Remembrance is celebrated (the day of mourning for the Turkmen people who died in the earthquake of 1948 – HT note), and on October 7, in connection with the choice of the site for the construction of a new mosque, a festive sadaka will be given.
